Motorola radios with Firmware revision number 9.0.0.0 are known to have some problems making and receiving calls. If your radio has this Firmware revision number, then contact your communications manager to update your firmware.
How to check your Firmware revision number:
Immediately after the self test (after turning on the radio):
- For XTS5000 handheld radios, press the button immediately above the Press-To-Talk (PTT) button 5 times.
- For O5 vehicle radios, press the home button 5 times.
- For O3 vehicle radios, press the button immediately above the Press-To-Talk (PTT) button 5 times.
If the radio displays "DSP Version R090000", then your radio has firmware that needs updating.
