The New South Wales Mobile Data Radio
Service (MDRS) is an advanced wireless data network, built to provide
NSW Government agencies and departments with the latest data
communication technology. These web pages are both an information
resource and an operational tool. For those considering the service, it
provides broad insights into MDRS features, benefits and management.
For Agency users, it establishes a convenient, efficient interface with
the Network Manager.
In 2004, MDRS offers agencies extensive coverage and unprecedented capabilities across a vast array of applications including public safety, mobile office, field service, logistics, public transport, remote machine monitoring and point of sale.
The MDRS is being used and trialled by agencies across the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area, the Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong.
