last modified 20 May 2009 11:09 PM
In late 2002 the NSW Government resolved to implement a unified digital mobile data network to provide low bandwidth, time critical mobile data for its agencies. The Mobile Radio Data Service Network was born. Following an extensive tendering process, Technisyst Pty Ltd was charged with the creation of a facility that would overcome mounting technological barriers and deliver collective advantages to agency users.

The Issues

From an internal perspective, tighter fiscal policy and the increasing cost of advanced radio technology inhibited the ability of individual agencies to acquire their own private wireless data network.

The Solution

A dedicated high quality, responsive and comprehensive radio infrastructure designed to:

  • Meet the wide and varying needs of government agencies in the ydney Metropolitan and Central Coast areas.
  • Provide access to the latest technology
  • Share costs across all agency users
  • Deliver agreed standards of service and performance
  • Foster proactive relationshipswith agency users
  • Evolve competitively in step with governmental and technological development
  • Allow predictable agency budgeting
  • Conserve radio spectrum
