An overview of the maintenance program for the MDRS Network.

Technisyst is responsible for all maintenance of the infrastructure of NSW MDRS Network.

In addition to Technisyst's technical staff, Technisyst has contracted the services of specialist maintenance and repair companies to support the network. As part of network management, a schedule of regular maintenance is required to ensure the individual components of the network are kept in good repair. Tests are carried out on all equipment including radio repeaters, back-up battery systems, RF multi-couplers, antenna feeders and antennae plus other site equipment such as air-conditioners and alarm sensors.

Technisyst conducts maintenance programs to ensure that NSW MDRS Service Levels are maintained. This includes scheduled:
  • Visits to all NSW MDRS sites to carry out preventative maintenance inspections
  • Testing of all back-up power supplies
  • Testing and alignment of all network infrastructure to confirm compliance with Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) regulations
  • Testing of network redundancy features.

Two preventative maintenance inspections are performed each year on MDRS base station sites. These inspections are carried out year round to minimise interruption to connected agencies. Further to this, maintenance engineers are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to carry out emergency repairs.

Technisyst is also responsible for maintenance of agencies terminals where they are purchased through Technisyst.
